AMISH TRIVEDI

PERFORMING MASCULINITY

The violence in these hands is already known. Keep enough
aspirin and razor blades around: it's the responsible choice. When
there are no groves of trees, it's better to hide among those trying
to find you. Cancelling the cycles of noise. Violet-backed starlings
sing the same songs to one another. No story is mine after a
fledging. Hear of survival from the affected, the racked. A narrative
that is the derivative line, stemming of the function, a swerve of terror,
the trajectory of time. In silence we become aware of background
radiation humming in our ears, flirting with the decay of distant objects.
